Visit Moss Bay in Seattle where you can enjoy water recreation activities, sports games, and adventures for large groups of all kinds. Whether you're an extremely active or relaxed group of individuals, adult group paddling events at Moss Bay will put smiles on everyone's face. Take a tour of Lake Union, compete in your own Water Olympics, or paddle at a leisurely pace, finishing with a snack in the sun on our docks.

Whether you are an experienced boater, or someone who simply wants to enjoy Seattle's panorama from a great vantage point, Moss Bay can provide the right spring, summer, and autumn opportunity for you to have a safe, fun, and memorable experience on the water. Our equipment and guide staff can meet most every need, and take pride in our ability to address the needs of your specific group.

Last summer more than 55 adult groups used our outdoor recreational facility, kayaking equipment, and staff to provide two hour to all day on-the-water programs. Groups of up to 100 participants can be accommodated through advanced scheduling.

We offer group discounts of up to 20% --- 20% deposit due at sign-up. Remaining balance due at least one week before the event, or upon sign-up if another group has requested the same equipment use time.

Tours

Sailing and kayaking tours at Moss Bay
At our boathouse on Lake Union in Seattle you can enjoy two hour or half day guided tours 7 days a week. All tours are pre-scheduled and paid in advance. Tour options are tailored for group size and experience level, and plans are adjusted for current weather conditions. Here are the package options:

Two and a Half-Hour Lake Union Kayak:

Enjoy a two and a half-hour guided tour around Lake Union seeing such Seattle attractions as Gas Works Park, local houseboat communities, the arboretum, and the Windermere bird sanctuary. This is a good tour for both the novice and the experienced kayaker. 4+ guests for kayaking. $45 / person

Through the Locks Kayak Tours in a half-day:

Paddle away from our dock at Moss Bay, and within an hour or so, end up at the Hiram Chittenden Locks leading to Puget Sound. With our guide you will go through the gravity locks - safe but exciting! After a stop at the locks for snacks and a look at the remarkable underwater fish ladders, you will paddle past Shilshole Bay Marina and end up at Golden Gardens Park where you will take a short rest before returning to Moss Bay.

Along the way you will enjoy amazing diversity of a "working lake", fisherman's terminal, and eventually the breathtaking Olympic Mountains that overlook Puget Sound. Groups of 2+ guests. $100 / person.
